Introduction

You may encounter issues with file locks on the Spindle Document Capture log files if features such as Windows Folder Redirection is configured for the user's Documents folder.

Process

There is a Registry Key which use to change the log file path in case there is any issue with the default log folder. This Registry Key is not present by default and will need to be manually added.

Please note: If this is applied to terminal server or another shared environment, this will cause log file conflicts if more than one user is using SDC at a time, as it will attempt to write to log files which are already being written to.

Client

All logs file will be placed at C:\Users\{UserName}\Documents\My Draycir Logs\Spindle Document Capture

Folder : [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Draycir\Spindle Document Capture\Client]
Key : Log File Path
Type : String
Example of Value : C:\ProgramData\Draycir\Spindle Document Capture\Logs


Server

Service Log will be placed at C:\ProgramData\Draycir\Spindle Document Capture\Server\Logs

Admin tool log will be placed at C:\Users\{UserName}\Documents\My Draycir Logs\Spindle Document Capture
