Introduction

Version 1.00 of the Spindle Reconciler uses the SHA256 encryption algorithm for signing the DLLs. The operating system needs to have the latest service packs, patches and updates installed to avoid Windows displaying this prompt.
We do not anticipate this occurring on platforms such as Windows 7 but there is more chance of this happening in Windows Vista.

The Prompt

On certain platforms, when the user tries to install the Spindle Reconciler, they may get the following message on the UAC prompt: “An unidentified program wants access to your computer”.

The Solution

Ensure that the Windows Operating System is up to date with updates and patches. After installing, if the user still is prompted by Windows, they can choose to 'Allow' to trust the program and install Spindle Reconciler.
