Introduction
When a purchase requisition is converted to a purchase order in Sage, a PDF copy of the purchase order is generated using a Sage layout template.
Assuming that Sage is configured to use C:\Sage as its default folder, the default layouts are typically stored in C:\Sage\reporting\default\layouts with customised report layouts typically stored in C:\Sage\reporting\custom\layouts, and company-specific layouts located in C:\Sage\reporting\Company\[Company Name]\layouts.
By default, Spindle Requisitions uses the same POP Purchase Order (Single).layout template for each company configured. It is possible to manually configure the application to use a different purchase order layout template per Spindle Requisitions company.
This is useful in scenarios where each company configured in Spindle Requisitions may have a different logo for example.
Method
In order to configure Spindle Requisitions to use a different layout per company the reqsq.xml file will need to be modified as in the following example.
Locate and open for editing C:\Program Files (x86)\Draycir\Spindle Requisitions\EmailServer\reqsq.xml.
Find the POCREATED 'AssemblyTypeConfig' section of the xml fileas shown in lines 4-14 in the following image:
Copy and paste this section for each Spindle Requisitions company requiring a separate purchase order layout and update the ReportName by adding the Spindle Requisitions company code, eg 01, 02 etc. as a prefix.
e.g. for Homestyle Kitchens as shown above, we use 01POCREATED.
Update the Tag element with the path to the correct purchase order layout template file for each company:
Save the reqsq.xml file.
Restart the Spindle Requisitions Email Server service.
Upon generating a purchase order within each Spindle Requisitions company, the company specific purchase order layout template will now be used to generate the purchase order pdf.
