Server Installation Requirements

• Windows Server 2008 or higher
• IIS 7 or above with ASP.net
• MS SQL Server 2005 or above (32 or 64 bit)
• Minimum of MS .NET Framework 4.5 (installed prior to Excel Data Bridge installation)
• Sage 200 2011 or above
• Admin privileges for installation

Server Pre-Requisites

• Check that the default web site is available for use in IIS – port 80
• Check the exact version of Sage 200 being used
• SQL user with sysadmin access (either new or existing user)

Client Installation Requirements

• MS Windows 7 or above
• MS Excel 2010 or above
• Minimum of MS .NET Framework 4.5 (must be installed prior to Excel Data Bridge  installation) • Admin privileges for installation

Server

As per the Server upgrade you will need to download the installer from the Draycir Partner Portal, please click on the below link to direct you to the site: https://draycir.com/portal/software/

Once you have installed the software be sure to carry out a backup on the Excel Data Bridge server folder which can be located on C:\Program Files (x86)\Draycir:

Once you have completed creating a backup folder, create a backup folder of the Database in SQL. 

To do this, first, find the Database within SQL "ExcelDataBridge" right click > Tasks > Back up 

Save the backup database in a secure location for example:

DD:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL14.MSSQLSERVER\MSSQL\Backup

Ensure that once you are saving the backup you add the date to the backup file also ensure to add '.bak' at the file name, as seen below.

Upon doing this, you will need to uninstall the current version of Excel Data Bridge on the Server machine. This can be done by going on the Start Menu and typing Appwiz.cpl or by going on Apps and Features and uninstalling it from there.

Once the current/old version of Excel Data Bridge has uninstalled, Run the new upgraded installer from your downloads and go through the User Wizard.

Select Default Website, Port and location 

Please continue by clicking on 'Next' there are no required changes to be made.

Finally, run the installer until it is complete.

Once the upgrade is complete on the server, Login to http://localhost/ExcelDataBridgeMaint and check to see if you can click on the tabs and see if configurations are the same, if so, there is no need to restore any databases

Client

On the client PC type the following link into Edge or Internet Explorer (this is because the clickonce installer is unavailable on Chrome): 

http://<<server name>>/ExcelDataBridgeInstallers

download the ClickOnce installer

Once the ClickOnce installer has ran you will be presented with the following message:

Open Appwiz.cpl or Apps and Features to see if the correct upgraded version has been installed:

Finally, Go into Excel click on Excel Data Bridge tab and ensure you can choose a sheet and a company
