Introduction

By default Document Search will list out all documents where at least one property “contains” the search text. 

However, users can enable the Exact Search feature to show only results where a field is equal to the search text by following the steps below.

Solution

• Note: you will need to be an Administrator of the machine.
• Go to Start > Run (or press Windows Key + R)
• Enter “regedit” then click “OK”

• Navigate to “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Draycir\Spindle Document Capture\Server”
• Right click > New > DWORD (32-bit) Value
• Set name to “Enable Exact Search” and value to 1
