KBA-02-02-002 – Supported file types for barcode recognition
Introduction
In Spindle Document Capture, barcoded documents are scanned or imported into the Pending Tray/Document Portal for archival.
You can print / place barcodes onto your documents using the following methods:
- The Spindle Document Capture ‘Print Barcode’ button within Sage 200
- The Spindle Document Capture ‘Quick Print Barcode’ button within Sage 200
- Spindle Professional can also place Spindle Document Capture barcodes onto outbound documents e.g. Despatch Notes
These barcoded documents can then be archived within the Pending Tray/Document Portal at any later point in time.
The Pending Tray will recognise Spindle Document Capture barcodes on documents that you scan into the Pending Tray/Document Portal and electronic documents that you import / drag ‘n drop into the Pending Tray/Document Portal.
Supported File Types
The following file types are supported for barcode recognition on Import in the Pending Tray/Document Portal:
- Tagged Image Files (*.tif; *.tiff)
- JPEG Image files (.jpg; *.jpeg)
- Portable Document Format (*.pdf)
