Problem
When installing Spindle Document Management or Spindle Document Capture to an environment where the SQL server is separate from the Sage application server, you must use a Domain account to run the Spindle Document Capture services. Ideally this user account should be created before installing the software as the installer can only create a local user account.
If you need to change the service user from a local account to a domain account after installation, because of an upgrade, a server move or on advice from Draycir support, please follow the steps below.
Applies to
Spindle Document Capture v1
Spindle Document Management v7
Spindle Document Management v8

- IIS Management Console > Application Pools > SDCAdmin > Advanced Settings > Identity
- IIS Management Console > Application Pools > SDCWebApi > Advanced Settings > Identity
