Introduction

When Draycir released Credit Hound v6, we removed the option in the installer UI to specify an alternate install location aside from the default of C:\Program Files (x86) as per Microsoft's Windows application certification guidelines:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/win_cert/certification-requirements-for-windows-desktop-apps

However we have retained the option to install Credit Hound applications to another location by using command line parameters.

Process

In order to specify the location, run the installer from a command line with the switch /v and the parameter of "INSTALLDIR=x:\Path\to\Folder". This can be achieved in a number of ways:

Windows Run command window

Press Win+R to show the run command and enter the command in here:

Windows command prompt

Open the command prompt by typing CMD in the start menu:

In the properties of a shortcut

Create a shortcut to the installer executable and amend the Target properties of the shortcut.
