Introduction
In Version 7.02 onward, Credit Hound allows you to seamlessly sign in with Microsoft Entra ID (previously known as Azure Active Directory or Azure AD), using your existing Microsoft account credentials. This eliminates the need to remember multiple login credentials, making the login process faster and more convenient.
This Single sign-on (SSO) means users do not have to remember both their own Credit Hound password and another Microsoft Account password.

2. Navigate to Setup > Users > Security.

Assign Microsoft Entra ID to a User
After enabling Microsoft Entra ID Authentication, the Assign Entra button will appear when editing the user. The steps to access this are below:
- Open Credit Hound Manager while Credit Hound is closed.
- Navigate to Setup > Users, select the user, then click Edit.
- Click on Assign Entra ID at the bottom of the screen.
- The standard Microsoft Sign-in screen will appear. Within with an Administrator account.
- The first time, click 'Accept' to grant the requested permissions.
- The minimum permissions required in Entra are the 'Cloud Application Administrator' role.
- This registers the Credit hound progessional application into your own Entra tenant.
- The Assign Microsoft Entra ID screen will appear.
- Search for the user in your organisation's Active Directory whom you want to assign the Entra ID to (Note: The scrollable list only shows a subset of users in your directory, so it is recommended to use the search function.)
- Once you have found the correct user, select them, and click Confirm.
- After a user is assigned an Entra ID, their username changes to their email address, and the Username and Password fields become disabled to indicate they are an Entra ID user.
- Click OK to save the assignment and close Credit hound manager.
The next time you launch Credit Hound, the login dialog will display both a Sign in with Entra ID option and the traditional Username and Password login. A user can sign in using only their assigned authentication method (either Entra ID or Username/Password), but not both.
Having both authentication methods on the login screen allows for mixed-mode authentication, where different users can sign in with either Entra ID or a password. For example, the built-in Admin user can access Credit Hound or Credit Hound Manager without needing an assigned Entra ID.
Seamless Logon
After signing in with your Entra ID once, the next time you launch Credit Hound, you will be signed in seamlessly, as long as you have a valid Access Token.
To clear your session and token, within Credit Hound click on File > Sign Out. The next time you launch Credit Hound, you will be prompted to log in via the Sign-in dialog again.
Note: Access to Credit Hound Manager will always prompt for a login due to the sensitive configurations within Credit Hound Manager.
Removing Microsoft Entra ID from a User

- In the warning prompt, click Yes.
- The Username and password fields become enabled again. (Note: The user's password will revert to what was configured prior to the Entra ID assignment. The username remains as the email address but is editable).
