Introduction

During installation of SDM you may encounter an error message. The log file shows the wording "unable to consume the service"

Cause

This is caused by the installer or Server Administration not being able to create the Draycir.SDC database on the SQL server. Typically because the user account SdcSqlUser or SDCServiceUser does not have the dbcreator role on the SQL server

Resolution

Correct the permissions by adding the dbcreator role to the SDC user or by specifying another SQL user account that has this role in Server Administration.
