Introduction

In Spindle Document Distribution v8.19 and later, you can now select a dedicated connector for GMail accounts

Applies to

  • Spindle Document Distribution v8.19 and later 
  • Spindle Document Management v8.19 and later

Process

Select the Gmail connecter from Spindle Document Distribution Tools>User Settings>Email Settings and click Setup. The Gmail Configuration window will be displayed

Click "Sign in with Google" to open the sign in page in your web browser, where you can provide your login details

Once signed in you will be asked to grant Spindle Document Distribution the permission to send from your Gmail account

Click Allow and you will be redirected in your browser to a page advising that the verification code has been received by Spindle Document Distribution. 

You can close this window.

Back in Spindle Document Distribution Tools, you will see 'Sign in successful'

You will receive a notification in your Gmail inbox that the application has been granted access:

The Gmail Account settings are stored Per user on the machine, so for a terminal services server, you will need to configure this for each user.
