KBA-07-03-05 Sage Intacct 2025 R1 update - We're unable to communicate with Sage Intacct

Users of Credit Hound Cloud with Sage Intacct may see the error "We're unable to communicate with Sage Intacct, please login again on the Company settings page to resolve the issue", however logging in again will yield the same error.


As of the newly released Sage Intacct 2025 R1, there was a security addition by Sage, resulting in the fact that Credit Hound Cloud users will need to amend permissions for the 'Credit Hound' user in Sage Intacct, this can be done using the instructions below:

If using Role-based security in Sage Intacct:
  • Select Company from the menu
  • Under the Admin tab select Roles
  • Click on Subscriptions next to the Credit Hound
  • Enable Platform Services
  • Click on Permissions next to it
  • Enable the following permissions
  • 1. Custom Reports
    • - List, View
  • 2. Interactive Custom Reports
    • - List, View
  • Click Save 
If using User-based security in Sage Intacct:

Assign permissions to the Web Services user:
  • Go to the Company > Web Services Users
  • Select the Web Services user you created for Credit Hound and click on Subscriptions
  • Click on Permissions and assign the required permissions
  • 1. Custom Reports
    • - List, View
  • 2. Interactive Custom Reports
    • - List, View
  • Click Save

Once the Permissions have been amended, the Customer should click 'Login' again on Company Settings and re-save their connection settings.
