Introduction

Scanning documents in to the Pending Tray/Document Portal may sometimes fail if the scanner driver only supports TWAIN v1 functionality, whereas SDM attempts to use TWAIN v2.0 features.

We can force SDM to use only v1.x features as described below

• Spindle Document Management v7.4.01 +
• Spindle Document Management v8

Resolution

1. Open Regedit as a user who has permissions to modify the registry

2. Browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Draycir\Spindle Document Capture\Client

3. Right-click and add a DWORD item with the name Force Twain 1x Behavior

4. Give it a value of 1
