Modified on Thu, 16 Apr at 12:18 PM

Introduction

When logging into Credit Hound you might face this error message when trying to open up the different pages, this can happen on any of the pages (Dashboard, Aged-Debt or Accounts). The cause of this is the layouts page will get corrupted throwing up this error whenever trying to access that page:

In the log file there will be an error along the lines of "There is an error in XML Document (0, 0).

Versions Applicable

  • Credit Hound v4
  • Credit hound v5
  • Credit Hound v6

Resolution

To establish the affected user, the simplest way is to open the Credit Hound log files from Documents/My Draycir Logs. Within the CreditHound.txt file, you will find the associated user id:

Above: the user ID in the log file within this instance is "3".

Locate to the 'Custom Layouts path in the Credit Hound server. For example, C:\ProgramData\Draycir\Credit Hound\Server\Layouts\Custom Layouts.

To fix this we just need to go out of the folder back to the Custom Layouts path and delete or rename the User 3 folder, then log back into Credit Hound and this should resolve the problem.
