Introduction
When using version 6.22 or higher of Credit Hound Professional, the licence may fail to automatically update.
This is due to a permissions issue where the user is unable to write to the file Configuration.xml on their device, which is located in C:\ProgramData\Draycir\Credit Hound
Resolution
To resolve the issue, the licence must be checked/reactivated by a user that has permissions to write to Configuration.xml, such as an administrator user.
The options for this are:
1. To run the application Credit Hound Manager as an administrator (referring to running the application administrator Windows profile before logging into Credit Hound as normal) - this can either be done on the client device, or the app server.
2. For IT or any responsible party to give the Windows profiles of Credit Hound users write and modify permissions to Configuration.xml, then for the user to open Credit Hound Manager.
If there is difficulty in locating the application, it can be found in the below locations, depending on whether the device accessed has either the client or server version of the software installed:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Draycir\Credit Hound\Client
C:\Program Files (x86)\Draycir\Credit Hound\Server
The name of the application is 'Credit Hound Manager.exe'
For either option: When opening Credit Hound Manager, navigate to Setup > Licence Manager and check the expiry date - if it has not updated, please click Activate Product and re-apply the activation details.
If you do not have the activation details to hand, please request them by contacting licences@draycir.com.
