Introduction

After installing Spindle Document Distribution Standalone v10.10.0, you may encounter this error when opening Spindle Document Distribution Tools.

Note: This article describes a specific active issue with Spindle Document Distribution as of w/c 6/11/23. The issue is under active investigation by Draycir and as a result, the guidance offered may change as the situation evolves.

Spindle Document Distribution Standalone v10.10.0

Spindle Document Distribution Cloud v10.10.0

Please note that Spindle Document Management v10.10 is not affected


Resolution

Update as of 17/11/23:

  • If you are running v10.9 or earlier please upgrade to v10.10.1 (v10.10.3 for Spindle Document Dostribution Cloud), available in the Draycir Partner Portal or from Draycir Support. This version will update 10.9 and earlier without issue.
  • If you have already installed v10.10.0 and are seeing the problem, follow the steps below. 


Uninstall Spindle Document Distribution

Uninstall Spindle Document Distribution v10.10.0 using the Windows Control Panel:


Install Spindle Document Distribution v10.10.1or

Spindle Document Distribution Cloud 10.10.3

1 Open Regedit search for "Draycir."

2. That will take you to the above classes

3. Look and Expand the CLSID - Find Value

4. Once Value has been found /search again

5 There should be a "V7 folder" remove this is 6.0.0 is present
