Introduction

In certain circumstances, when using the PDF to Spindle utility with Spindle Document Management version 8.22, you may see the following error:

• This issue does not affect any other version of Spindle Document Management or Spindle Document Distribution standalone

Cause

This is because the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 redistributable (32-bit) was not installed by the Spindle Document Management installer, and was not present on the machine prior to the installation.

This component is a dependency for a component of the PDF to Spindle utility

Resolution 

Install the Visual C++ 2010 SP1 Redistributable Package as described in Article KBA-01-03-034 - Unable to Download Visual C++ 2010 SP1 Redistributable Package
