In Windows 11 release 22H2 (September 2022), Microsoft introduced a new style Printer selection dialog window:

An upgrade to this release can cause the dialog to not display correctly, resulting in the following :
Affects
This issue is only seen when an application uses the standard File>Print dialog box.
To date, we have observed the error with
- Dynamics NAV,
- Dynamics AX,
- Credit Hound,
- Notepad
The following Applications are not affected
- Windows Settings Test Page
- Adobe Acrobat
- Microsoft Office Applications
Solution A
The issue is remedied by refreshing the driver that the printer uses
Open Settings>Bluetooth and Devices>Printers & scanners and select the affected printer. In this example I am using the Spindle Pro Form Creator printer.
Click Printer Properties then Advanced:
Note: If these options are greyed out, switch to the General tab, click Change Properties and provide Administrator credentials
Drop down the menu for Driver and select any of the other two Spindle Document Distribution printers:
Click Apply. (Do not click OK)
Now set the Driver menu back to the required driver:
Click Apply, then OK and print once more:
Repeat the above steps for any other affected Spindle Document Distribution printer
Solution B
If Solution A fails, the legacy Print dialog box can be restored by creating a registry key for the affected user.
The below path in the registry would need to be created:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Print\UnifiedPrintDialog
In the UnifiedPrintDialog key, create a key/value pair (DWORD) named PreferLegacyPrintDialog with a value of 1. This is user-specific, so it would need to be repeated if any other users are affected.
Close any open print dialog boxes and attempt to re-print.
