Introduction

When using the Exchange Device with Office 365 online accounts, you may encounter an issue with the login window:

• Spindle Document Distribution v8.0-9.1
• Spindle Document Management v7.0-9.1

Cause

The control used to display the Microsoft login page uses Internet Explorer v7 to render the page. This browser is now considered obsolete.

Resolution

You can set the embedded web browser to run as Internet Explorer 11 instead, by adding a registry key as follows:

Under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\FeatureControl\FEATURE_BROWSER_EMULATION 

add a DWORD with the decimal value of 11000 (hex 00002af8)

NOTE: Spindle Document Distribution and Spindle Document Management v10 and later already have this registry key in place.
