Introduction
This guide should be followed and the resolution written below applied prior to following the resolution specified in KBA 01-03-03. By creating a registry key, Spindle is configured to emulate the encryption level of v3 PDF libraries while using the v4 creation libraries.

Resolution
1. Open Registry Editor on the machine that's processing the jobs
2. Browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Draycir\Spindle Document Distribution \Generic\Distribution\PDF (If using Spindle Professional v6, the registry path is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Draycir\Spindle Professional\Generic\Distribution\PDF)
3. Right-click and add a DWORD (32bit) item with the name Use Legacy Encryption
4. Change the value of Use Legacy Encryption item to 1 and click OK
5. In Spindle Document Distribution Tools, ensure the PDF creation library within the Document Automation is set to v4.x
Documents will have to be processed again for the changes to take in effect.
