Introduction

Following an upgrade of Sage 50, you may see an error message advising that the COM Class Factory could not be retrieved.

Cause

This is because Sage 50 has been updated beyond what CH is capable of connecting to, or because Credit Hound has not been configured to use the correct connecter for the accounting package.

Resolution

First ensure that Credit Hound is upgraded to a compatible version, for details of compatibility please check the release notes in the Draycir Partner Portal or https://draycir.com/credithound/releasenotes. 

Next update the Credit Hound company to use the newer accounting module.

1) Open Credit Hound Manager and navigate to Modules

Select the appropriate Accounting system from the drop-down menu and click Enable Module

2) Switch to the Companies tab, choose the required company and click Change Accounting System. Click Yes to dismiss the warning dialog and choose the new accounting system from the window.
