Introduction
On occasion, a Credit Hound user's interface may become corrupt or need to be reset. The steps in this article outling how to clear out the user's custom layouts folder so that it will be re-populated with default files.
Finding the User ID
The user ID is the number that corresponds to the Credit Hound user. This is required in this process in order to identify the correct folder.
The best way to find the user ID is to ask the user to log into Credit Hound, then obtain the Credit Hound log file to find the reference to the user ID.
The log file is located by default in the user's Documents folder, under the folders My Draycir Logs and Credit Hounbd. The name of the log file is Credit Hound.txt
Open the log file and look for the line 'Attempting to initialise the current user with the id' and note the number it cites. In the example in the screenshow below, the user ID is 4:
Clearing the folder
With the user ID obtained, navigate to C:\ProgramData\Draycir\Credit Hound\Server\Layouts\Custom Layouts\ and find the folder with the corresponding user ID.
In this example, the folder will be named 'User 4'.
The contents of the folder will look like the below:
Delete all files from this folder, and ask the user to log into Credit Hound again using the same profile. This should re-populate this folder with the default layout files.
